On our way

The China team of Southland English Teachers will soon be meeting at the airport to begin our long long day of travels. We head from Lex to Atl, where we will catch a nonstop (but almost 16 hour long) direct flight to Shanghai. After a few hours in that airport, we will catch our next flight into Kunming, where we have a chance to rest and adjust to the altitude, before heading to our final destination. Thanks for all the "good thoughts" as we travel.

Where's the Top of Our Mountain?

Tick...tick...tick...time is a blur.

In these final days before I go;
I'm not so certain I'll make the show.

The days seem crunched, so much to do;
I guess a good thing...no thinking it through.

Away from all which provides my norm;
that in itself creates a storm.

But all around a calm is found;
a sense of peace muffles my sounds.

Its no big mystery, but confusing at times;
the answers unseen like wind in the chimes.

We know it's there but unable to see;
the breeze that blows and ruffles the leaves.

Its power, its might remind me how small;
our lives such a speck in the scheme of it all.

But value and worth aren't our jobs to make,
our Creator has never known a mistake.

For perfection is His and failure I'll be;
with Him there's a new man forming in me.

I give all I have and eagerly wait;
for answers and hope...the journey I'll make.
